A Tallahassee, Florida native, JS (Junius Samson) talents was displayed at an early age, an 8 year old Junius received piano lessons from his grandmother. Singing was a favorite pastime of his until, at the age of 15, he entered a high school talent show and won, it became his passion. Since then, he took his talent serious and embarked on his journey. Junius would record his vocals in a home studio dubbed the "Come-Up." Utilizing the techniques nurtured by his Grandmother, JS developed his style: youthful, joyous, soulful and sleek.

JS was popular in high school was also known as "Vinndeez" was highly promoted through South Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, New Orleans, and Atlanta.

January, 2010: JS auditioned to be the opening act for EMI Recording Artist Omarion, hosted by Philadelphia radio station 100.3 "The Beat." JS landed an interview and was featured on their website. He met with Record Executive Eric Nicks who took interest with Junius' ability as a songwriter and vocalist. Soon after their initial encounter, he began working with August Rigo, one of Nick's associates and writing partners. Junius has worked with award winning producers such as: The Phantom Boyz, Slip and Slide Records, Chris N Teeb, Dwayne Bastinany, Infinity, Jim Jonson, Boi 1 da, Drumma Boy, Eric Hudson, HitzDrew, DJ Camper, Spinz, Battleroy, Eric Hudson, Artist B Smith, Ginette Claudette, Jaito, Justin Sky, Young Steff, and Marcus Canty.

Creative excellence, a reputation of consistency to deliver hot records with fast turnaround puts him in a position countless artists/writers strive to attain and keep pace of an ever evolving nature of the music industry. "My focus is to maintain staying ahead of the curve, giving the people they need instead of what they already have," says JS.

JS was recently signed by R&B superstar, NeYo to his Compound Entertainment and JCM Music Group LLC as a singer/songwriter. Be on the lookout for timeless, chart topping music.... courtesy of JS.
